New members ask us the same handful of questions in their first week, and they are good questions. In this article we answer two of the most common: whether you can still take a trade idea after missing the entry, and whether you need to close a trade yourself once it is open.
Only if price is still near the entry we gave. If gold has already moved a long way towards the take-profit, the trade no longer offers the same balance of risk and reward, and the stop-loss is now much further away in relative terms. In that case, skip it and wait for the next one.
Chasing a move that has already happened is one of the most common ways new traders lose money. It feels like missing out, but there will always be another trade idea. Missing one is never a disaster. Entering late at a worse price, with a worse risk-to-reward ratio, can be.
No. Every trade idea we send includes a stop-loss and a take-profit, and once those are set in MT5 the platform closes the trade automatically when either level is hit. You do not need to watch the chart or be awake when it happens. The plan does the watching for you.
You can also close a trade early whenever you want. Some members prefer to lock in part of a move or step out before major news. That is entirely your choice. What matters is that you never hold a trade without a stop-loss in place. If you have a question of your own, ask it in the free community and we will answer.
Take it only if price is still close to the entry. If gold has moved a lot, skip the trade and wait for the next idea rather than chasing.
