Morning coffee, a quick market check, then get on with your day. Trading can be part of a calm routine rather than a stressful one, and the morning is where that routine is set. In this article we describe the five-minute check our members do and why starting with a plan matters later.
A typical morning in the community starts with a message around half past seven: good morning, today's key news times for gold are posted in the group. That is your cue. Open the group, see what is planned for the day and note the times when big announcements are due. Done. The whole check takes about five minutes with a coffee in your other hand.
You do not need to analyse charts for an hour or read every headline. The team has already done the analysis and flagged what matters. Your job in the morning is simply to know the shape of the day, so that when an idea arrives or a news release approaches, nothing takes you by surprise.
Starting the day with a plan means fewer impulsive decisions later. If you know a major US announcement lands at half past one, you are not going to be caught placing a trade thirty seconds before it. If you know an idea is likely during the London session, you can glance at your phone at the right time rather than all day.
Rushed traders react. Calm traders follow a plan they made before the pressure arrived. The morning check is a small habit, but it sets the tone for every decision that follows. Build a calm routine with us, starting with tomorrow's coffee.
About five minutes. Check the group for the day's plan, note the key news times for gold and get on with your day.
Knowing the shape of the day in advance stops you reacting to surprises. Traders with a plan make calmer decisions than traders who are rushed.
