Two minutes, not eight hours: a simple daily gold trading routine

Two minutes, not eight hours. A common misconception about trading is that it means staring at charts all day. In this article we walk through the short routine our members use to act on a trade idea, explain why the stop-loss and take-profit let you close the app, and show how you can learn at whatever pace suits you.

The two-minute routine

Step one: read the idea. Every trade idea we send includes the entry, the stop-loss and the take-profit, so there is nothing to work out. Step two: place it in MT5, which takes a few taps on your phone. Step three: set the SL and TP exactly as written so the trade manages itself from that point on. That is the whole routine, and it fits into a coffee break.

Then close the app

Once your stop-loss and take-profit are set, there is no need to watch every tick. If gold goes against you, the stop-loss closes the trade at a loss you already accepted. If gold reaches the target, the take-profit closes it for you. Watching the chart move does not change either outcome, and for most beginners it only adds stress and the temptation to interfere with a good plan.

Learn as fast or slow as you like

The routine is the minimum. How much further you go is up to you. Want to understand the why behind each idea? Join a live training session, where we explain the charts from scratch twice a week. Want to simply follow along for now and learn gradually? That is fine too. The routine stays the same either way, and the free community is there whenever you want to go deeper.

Key takeaways

Common questions

How much time does gold trading take each day?

Acting on a trade idea takes a couple of minutes: read it, place it in MT5, set the stop-loss and take-profit. Learning more is optional.

Do you need to watch the chart after placing a trade?

No. With the stop-loss and take-profit set, the trade closes automatically at either level, so you can close the app.

Real trading freedom starts with a plan: four simple rules

Peace of mind in gold trading comes from a plan: small lot size, a stop-loss on every trade, money you can afford to lose, and one trade at a time.
