Your first trade is a big moment, so it helps to be ready for it. It might win. It might lose. Neither outcome tells you much on its own. In this article we explain how to think about your first gold trade, what to do after each result, and what actually matters once it closes.
Great. Enjoy it, and then do nothing different. The most common mistake after an early win is increasing the lot size because it felt easy. Do not change your lot size because of one result. One trade proves nothing about you, the market or the method. Treat the win as information, not permission to take more risk.
Also completely normal. Losses are part of trading for everyone, and a first-trade loss is not a sign that you are doing it wrong. If your stop-loss was in place, the loss was planned and limited before you ever entered. That is the system working exactly as designed.
What to avoid is the urge to win it back immediately. A loss that was within your plan needs no response at all. Wait for the next trade idea, which will arrive with its own entry, stop-loss and take-profit, and take it with the same lot size as before.
The real measure of trade one is whether you understood what you did and why. Did you know where the entry, stop-loss and take-profit were? Did you know your maximum loss before you pressed the button? If so, that is the real win, whatever the result. We are happy to do your first trade with you, live, in the free community.
Keep everything the same. One trade proves nothing, so do not increase your lot size because of a single result.
Yes. Losses are part of trading for everyone. If your stop-loss was set, the loss was limited in advance, which is exactly how it should work.
