The question we get more than any other from new members is some version of: the trade idea has arrived, now which button do you press? Here we walk through a typical support conversation so you know exactly what happens in MT5, from finding gold to placing the order and getting it checked.
Every trade idea we send includes an entry, a stop-loss and a take-profit, but the first time you see one it can feel like reading another language. A typical support chat starts with a member saying they have the gold idea but have never placed a trade. Our answer is always the same: no problem at all. Open MT5, tap the plus symbol at the top of the screen and search for XAUUSD. That is gold priced against the US dollar.
Once XAUUSD appears in your list, tap it and choose Trade. You will see fields for volume (the lot size), stop-loss and take-profit. Use the lot size you agreed with the team during onboarding and type in the stop-loss and take-profit levels exactly as they appear in the idea. Take your time: nothing is live until you confirm the order.
If the idea says Buy, tap Buy by Market. If it says Sell, tap Sell by Market. That opens the position at the current price with your protective levels already attached. The next step is one many people skip: send a screenshot to the team. We check the lot size, the direction and the levels with you, so your first trade is placed the way it was intended.
Nobody in our community was born knowing this. Thousands of members have asked the same question, and the only wrong move is sitting on a question because it feels too basic. If you are stuck at any step, message the team and we will go through it with you live.
Tap the plus at the top of MT5, search XAUUSD, open it and tap Trade. Enter your lot size, stop-loss and take-profit, then choose Buy by Market or Sell by Market.
There is no single right answer, which is why we agree a lot size with each member during onboarding and keep it fixed. Smaller is safer while you learn.
